AHT Awards Success!

Following on from last year’s achievements at the Association of Hairdressers & Therapists (AHT) awards, Hair & Beauty students saw success at the Regional Heats and National Finals this year.

At the South East Regional event, held at John Ruskin College, eight students competed, with a further six standing as models. Hair & Media Make-Up Level 2 students Charlotte Creasy and Clara James placed 3^rd in the Team Bridal category, qualifying for the National Finals!

The finals, which took place at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, welcomed the Hair & Media Make-Up Level 2 qualifiers, as well as direct entries from Theatrical, Special Effects & Media Make-Up Level 3. Nine competitors from ESC fought it out in tough competition, with a very high standard of competition. Students entered a range of competition categories, which included Body Painting, Fantasy, Drag and Sinister Character.

Congratulations to Theatrical, Special Effects & Media Make-Up Level 3 student, Kirsten Massingham, who was awarded 3^rd place in the Body Painting – Nursery Rhymes category!
