Supporting Team Stork at Run Reigate 2017

On 17 September, 34 Public Services and Sports students supported local charity Stripey Stork at the Intersport Run Reigate 10k event. With nearly 70 runners, Stripey Stork were able to raise over £10k and the event was a great opportunity to raise the charity’s profile locally.
On the day, students turned up as early as 6am to support the event as baggage handlers, race stewards, roaming support and parking guards. Students had an amazing day helping out and having fun!
This fantastic event saw hundreds of participants and organisations coming together to raise money for so many wonderful and worthy causes.
The Stripey Stork team were delighted with how the day went and thanked East Surrey College volunteers saying: “we were overwhelmed by the number of students who turned up bright and early ready to get going. I know Run Reigate were also super appreciative of the unexpected help!”.
