ESC Celebrates Colleges Week
This week at East Surrey College, we’ve been celebrating #CollegesWeek with the Association of Colleges. This week is a chance to celebrate and shout about all of the brilliant things that colleges do day in and day out to build communities and support individuals.
For the first year, the AoC has outlined a Colleges Week theme ‘Get in, go further.’
GET IN
‘Get in’ focuses on the great things that happen in colleges every day. At ESC, Enrichment is a key part of College Life, as our students have an exciting range of activities to get involved in. From table football to cooking and everything in between, there is something for every student, with opportunities to take a break from studying and meet new people.
The Facilities at ESC allow students to get a real taste of the industry, as they develop technical skills on top-of-the-range equipment. Our modern training salons, workshops and studios are designed with future careers in mind, so our students are prepared for their next steps.
Student Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at ESC, and our online Wellbeing Hub is a central area for students to access the resources and advice they need.
GO FURTHER
We love keeping in touch with our Alumni Students and finding out about their next steps after ESC. Many of our students progress onto prestigious universities to continue their studies, with others stepping right into the workplace. Read inspiring student stories here.
Recent graduates from our BA (Hons) Top-Up in Make-Up, Special Effects & Hair for Media & Performance
We provide our students with the foundations they need for an exciting career, through various employer activities throughout the year. From virtual and in-house talks to work experience and live briefs, our students get a taste for the sector and build the career skills they need. Explore our Careers Hub to meet the Careers Team and discover what’s in store at ESC.
Everyone at ESC has the chance to take part in internal and external Competitions, to build confidence and diversify their portfolio, From Gold at the national BTEC Awards to AHT and Starpack competitions, our students have seen their fair share of success and we are so proud of what they have achieved.
