Freshers Fair 2024

College is about so much more than studying, as students found out at East Surrey College’s Freshers Fair on 11 September.

To kick off the Autumn term, our Enrichment team hosted our annual Freshers Fair in our Winter Garden with the aim to encourage new and current students to interact with college activities, as well as discover a range of opportunities from local and national employers, charities and businesses.

During the fair, students got the chance to meet representatives from a number of organisations including Catch22, Fight or Flight, Rumble Esports, Lucy Rayner, Dermalogica, Coppafeel and more! College information stands were also onsite including an enrichment table, safeguarding, and an industry placements table offering impartial advice and guidance.

New Hair and Beauty Level 1 student, Demi said: “It’s been really fun going around talking to businesses about what they can offer and how I can get involved in activities. I personally liked Dermalogica as they were giving out samples!”

Another student added: “I got to try out the VR system at the Industry Placements table and I got to see what it’d be like to work as an engineer in the real world. It was super cool.”
