Games Design Level 3 students recently travelled into London to visit the annual independent gaming exhibition EGX Rezzed, the capital’s biggest games event, which took place from 13 – 15 April.
Whilst walking around the exhibition, they had the opportunity to explore the stalls, try out different games and speak to various games development companies. The students also attended a careers fair, during which, representatives from the University of Leeds and UCA presented different approaches to games design. Additionally, they had the chance to listen to a talk on ‘Building a Game with Personality’, focusing on the simulation game ‘Two Point Hospital’, which offered a great insight on conveying character and interaction in game design and will help enhance their College projects.
Some students even brought along their portfolios, and received valuable advice from industry professionals on how to improve their applications and get into the professional gaming sector.
