Feeling Festive in the Salon

Hairdressing Level 2 students had their creativity tested this morning at their Christmas Competition!

The students had been working on mood boards in lessons, and then had an hour to produce their final festive piece on a block. Students used glitter, leaves, spray hair die and more to style their masterpieces.

The final results were based on the mood boards, and the final design produced. The judges included Frances Harris (Vice Principal - Interventions and Projects) and Sue from Sue Jane Hair & Beauty, who commented:

"There is some really good creative design on display"

Congratulations to Julie who claimed first place for her wintery hairstyle and delicate decoration, closely followed by Gigi who came in second with her Virgin Mary design featuring an impressive gold headpiece. Winning the bronze medal was student Lauren who designed a beautiful green braid with festive decorations. The top three all took home prize money and a cookie & mug set.
