HE & Professional Courses Awards 2019

On Wednesday 10 July, we came together with friends, family and employers to celebrate students' completion of Higher Education and Professional Courses!

The annual Awards Ceremony took place in the Winter Garden, and opened with a welcome from Richard Pearce, Director of HE (East Surrey College) and Jayne Dickinson, Chief Executive Officer (College Group) & Principal (East Surrey College).

Visitors, including various employers, heard from Kirsti Godson, Head of Apprenticeship Development at Thales UK, who gave an inspiring talk on the importance and cost of education. She encouraged students to "never stop learning" and congratulated them on their achievements.

Students were then invited to receive their certificates from Kirsti. Courses represented included Early Years FdA, Construction HNC and AAT Accounting Level 4.

Two students were also delighted to receive Special Achievement Awards, well done to:

Alam Ara Begum, Business Management Foundation Degree
Francesca Horn, Theatrical, Media & Special Effects Make-UP HND

The event then closed with an inspiring Vote of Thanks from two Business Management FdA students. Thank you to everyone who came along and shared in our students' success!
