Engineering Employer Event at ESC
17/04/2024
Date: 19 April 2024
This week, Art Matters artists visited East Surrey College to view the ‘Hope Echoed’ exhibition, where they watched inspiring films and photos by RSA creative media students.
The students' exhibition is based on a live Work Experience Project, where students responded to the ‘Hope Whisperers’ project organised for World Mental Health Day in October 2023. The project aimed to encourage individuals to share their aspirations for the future.
Tutor Mark Cremmen of Art Matters said: "The film and photographic work was 'amazing', and we were very impressed with how the creative media students had created meaningful and powerful content.”
What stood out most was how the students' work reflected personal hope for the coming years and expressed a broader aspiration for a better world without war and racism, where people supported each other and took better care of the environment.
The RSA students have reminded us of a crucial fact - art can inspire hope and pave the way towards a more compassionate and inclusive future.
