Sport students raise money for WWF

On Friday 2 December, students from Level 3, Year 2 Sports baked a range of sweet treats and put on a Cake Sale in the Winter Garden to raise money for WWF. This included cakes, cookies, cupcakes and more!

Both Sports and Science Level 3 tutor groups have chosen WWF as their sustainable charity for this academic year. Students are taking part in a range of activities throughout the year, until May, to raise money for WWF, with the target of raising £500. The Bake Sale was one of the first events to kick of the year and they raised £55!

Earlier in the day, Sophie from WWF came into the college for a presentation to give students more insight into the charity and the work they do. They focused particularly on UK based projects and how we can make a difference in our own homes. The students found it helpful to speak to Sophie from WWF and provided motivation for them to try and raise as much money as they can over the academic year!
