Ezekiel Sokan, Student Recruitment Officer at the University of the Arts London (UAL), recently visited East Surrey College to speak with our Creative Practice Year 2 and Art Foundation students about the different pathways available in the creative arts industry. Ezekiel’s talk offered important information on student loans, accommodation, personal statements, and the UCAS process. He also provided insights into UAL’s six colleges, highlighting specialised courses in areas like ceramics, photography, and fashion design, along with collaborative opportunities across UAL.
ESC Course Leader Zoe Lodge commented, “We arranged in-depth talks from the UAL group, so students could find out more information about what each of their institutions specialises in, the career paths open to them, portfolio advice and university life. With further support from our specialist Art team, this has given those considering a university path a great start to the process.”
On his visit, Ezekiel added, “I always enjoy visiting East Surrey College as I can tell the students receive excellent support whilst exploring their next steps. It was great being able to share what we have on offer at UAL and provide some guidance around the application process.”
This talk gave students a solid foundation for their next steps, creative options and different careers across multiple media fields.
