Access to Science Level 3 - James
Former School: Hartpury College
James is currently studying Geology at Durham University, after progressing from his Access to Science course at ESC. He knew he wanted to study Science at university, so chose to study a science-based course at College, that would give him practical skills.
James commented on his time at the College:
“the [Access] course taught you how to think like a scientist. At ESC I learnt skills such as experimental write-up techniques, thinking outside of the box and always questioning other people’s work. I use these skills all the time at University and it has made me better in my subject.”
James aspires to become a Consultant Geologist for an engineering/commercial
business once he has graduated with his Degree.
