Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship - Lucy
Former School: Therfield School, Leatherhead
After finishing Sixth Form, Lucy knew that she didn't want to go to university and started researching career options. She came across Apprenticeships and thought that it sounded like the perfect step for her.
“I wanted some experience, and an Apprenticeship seemed like the best way to get into work”
She researched different Colleges that offered this option, and loved the idea of a vocational College, stating that she "wanted something different" and so applied for the Apprenticeship with ESC. She works within the Client Services department at ESC, supporting visitors and students on a daily basis, and spends Fridays working on her Apprenticeship projects.
“In all my work I have to provide examples of projects I’m doing at work – everything I do at work I’m doing relates back to the Apprenticeship”
Lucy is loving her Apprenticeship especially "being in the department and meeting all the new people! Client Services are such a friendly and welcoming team.” She also explained how "it’s different to school – you’re left to be independent and have to be an adult!”
When her Apprenticeship is over, Lucy is hoping to stay on and progress within the company!
