Business Level 3 - Livia

Whilst studying at GCSE level, Livia was inspired by her Business teacher and was passionate about pursuing Business with the hope of starting her own company. 

She chose ESC due to the location but also having heard positive recommendations from people she knew. 

 “I was torn between Finance and Business but at the interview, the tutor explained how broad the business course was and how it covered everything”

Livia's favourite elements of the course have been Customer Service and Market Research, as she loves carrying out surveys and collecting data. She's also found her tutors to be extremely supportive and commented on how they have so much of their own experience in business to share. 

“We get great feedback from the teachers, which helps us to see how we can do better and improve our work”

To gain more experience and build her confidence, Livia stepped up as Student Representative for her course, taking forward her peers' comments in Student Council meetings. 

Having completed the final year of her Level 3 course, Livia is looking to the future. She would love to find work experience in social media marketing and is planning on moving to Germany to develop her interests in communication and product photography, 

“I want to go into this area of marketing as you can be really creative compared to the traditional marketing routes.”

Livia was delighted to win Bronze BTEC Business and Enterprise Learner of the Year at the 2021 BTEC Awards.
