Business Level 3 - Reece

Former School(s): Carrington School (The Warwick School)

Reece originally enrolled onto Film & TV, but was interested in the creative side of the business industry and later began Business Level 3.

“Being able to focus on one course really appealed to me – I think that’s a real advantage of ESC!”

He decided to take a gap year after College to work full-time and set-up his own part-time business, selling car parts and vintage clothing. 

This helps support his university course, as he is currently studying Business Management (Entrepreneurship) at the University of Surrey. 

“Getting into uni was probably my proudest achievement – it was a long way away for me academically, but the support and professional teaching I received really helped.”

Reece has recently started his second year of the course and is working towards a Masters Level qualification. 

As part of Raising Aspirations Week 2019, Reece came in to speak to Business Level 3 Year 2 students. He shared his journey to university, and gave advice on how to make the most of College and apply for university. He shared: 

“I wanted to get good grades for uni, and the course helped push me. Once I knew I wanted to go to uni, I changed my mindset to keep on top of my work. Set mental deadlines and have timetables to help your self-management skills and keep on top of things – these are the skills that will help you in life in general.”
