Cabin Crew Level 2 - Jose

Former School(s): The Ashcombe School

Jose first enrolled on Travel & Tourism Level 2, to get a first taste of the industry, and then began studying our Cabin Crew qualification. He chose ESC after hearing positive things from former students, and knew which subjects he wanted to study: 

"People who were attending ESC told me about the college and how great it was! I chose the courses because they were the areas I dreamed of studying and working in."

Whilst on the course, he particularly enjoyed the customer service units and enjoyed learning from his tutor, Nigel Tostevin, who was able to bring his own industry experience into teaching. 

On completing his course, Jose worked in a 5 star Hotel & Spa for 6 months before applying for a role as a Flight Attendant with easyJet. Jose commented that he was able to apply everything that the tutor had taught him in the interview and was excited to be accepted into the role. 

"My Cabin Crew course with Nigel has helped me in my current job as Cabin Crew, the lessons with him gave me an idea of what I would face in this industry and gave me a clear idea that this is what I really wanted to do!" 

After completing his training programme, he thorough enjoyed working on flights to countries he has never been to before.

When asked what advice he would give to new students, he shared: 

"Always listen to the teachers when it comes to future advice and also always take their past work experiences seriously, as you may face all types of challenges in the future! I’m so glad both my teachers at ESC had intense experience in their areas and those experiences were truly helpful!"

Jose has recently changed Airlines to BA and passed his cabin crew training with flying colours.
