What led you to choose this course?

I studied Design and Technology in school and really enjoyed it. I've always liked building things, which started my interest in carpentry.

Why did you decide to study at ESC?

I live close to the college, and my brother also studied here, which made me curious to check it out. The taster day sealed the deal for me—it was inspiring and gave me confidence about what to do with my next steps.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

I love building things from scratch and meeting new people. Attending events is a bonus, as it helps me gain new perspectives and inspiration.

How are you finding the teaching and support?

My teacher, Peter, gives great advice and is very knowledgeable. His clear explanations and guidance have been very valuable and have boosted my confidence.

What are your future plans?

After this course, I plan to start an apprenticeship to gain practical experience and develop my skills further. My goal is to move into part- or full-time work in the field and continue my career.

Would you recommend ESC to future students? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this college. The teachers provide a lot of support, and I’ve enjoyed the course. Their guidance has made my experience both productive and enjoyable.
