Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship - Harry

After enjoying Design & Technology at School, Harry followed in his brother's footsteps and applied for the Gatwick Airport Engineering Apprenticeship scheme.
“It’s a 4-year programme, with our first year spent at College, and then it goes down to one day at College with the rest of our time spent at Gatwick.”
Having just started the course, Harry is looking forward to applying his knowledge and starting to service equipment. He and his fellow Gatwick Apprentices visited the Airport to gain an insight into the kind of work they'll be doing, by shadowing Technicians in the Engineering department.
At College, Harry enjoys the teaching, finding that "they treat you as an adult and it’s a more relaxed environment” and that the facilities are built for purpose, allowing him to develop his technical knowledge.
Harry is looking forward to getting qualified with ESC and progressing within his career at Gatwick Airport.
