Health & Social Care Level 1 - Owen
Former School(s): Carrington School (The Warwick School)
Owen began studying Motor Vehicle School Links programme at East Surrey College and moved onto a Health & Social Care course. Whilst studying, he gained some work experience at the YMCA. He commented that he "really enjoys working there and it’s helped him understand the needs of others and how to approach and discuss issues faced with disabilities."
The YMCA sent some fantastic feedback advising "He seems to get on with all young people and is very good at engaging with them"
They went on to say:
"He is also always interested in what other sessions we do and is happy to help on the days he is not at College. In de-briefs he is very talkative and will let me know his opinions, it is really nice having him in the session. With Covid, we were tentative about having work placements back but from what the team and other young people have said is that he has been a really positive addition to the team."
