Photography BA (Hons) Top-Up - Annabelle

Former School(s): The Beacon School

After studying Art GCSE at school, Annabelle joined us on Photography Level 3 and progressed through our 2 year HND course to her current BA (Hons) qualification. 

She found that the courses at ESC offered more freedom than other Colleges and Annabelle liked being able to focus on just one course. 

“I decided to stay for the HND – it was an easy decision”

For her current 'Creative Practice' project, Annabelle has been experimenting with landscape photography, and in particular capturing old war pillboxes. 

“I’ve found a new found love for history, and can combine that with photography – I love just going for long walks and taking photos.”

Among her reasons for staying on for the degree level course, Annabelle commented that she has a great bond with her tutor. During lockdown, she appreciated the communication and support that the class received over MS Teams. 

Outside of College, Annabelle has worked as a wedding photographer with a coursemate but is considering going into family portrait photography. 

“I want to kickstart my website and Instagram page and start contacting other photographers for advice.”
