Theatrical, Media & Special Effects Make-Up HND - Emily

Aspiring Make-Up Artist Emily joined us on Hair & Media Level 2 after a friend had recommended the College to her. Emily chose to come to ESC for Level 2  and then progressed up to Fashion & Media Make-Up Level 3.

“I didn’t look at any other Colleges, I just came straight to ESC”

Whilst on Level 3, she took part in the Association of Hairdressers & Therapists (AHT) Regional Heats, held at East Surrey College, in the Half Body Painting (Under the Ocean) category. She won 1^st place with her creative design and then went on to compete again at the National Finals in Blackpool, in the same category.

Emily works part-time at a hair salon and has now progressed to the Theatrical, Media & Special Effects HND course. She chose to stay at the College for her University Level study after discussing options with her tutor.

On completion of the HND, Emily would love to stay on at ESC for the BA Top-Up course in Make-Up, Special Effects & Hair for Media & Performance.

“I love how we get to interpret briefs creatively and bring hair, make-up and outfits together for a final look.”
