About the Course
Improve your knowledge on this vocational course whilst gaining a qualification at Level 4. Topics you will study include engineering design, engineering maths, mechanical principles and fundamentals of thermodynamics and heat engines.
Two A-Levels including Maths and another technical subject (normally Physics), or a BTEC Level 3 National Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma in Engineering. Mature applicants will be considered by interview. |

The course will be internally assessed through a programme of assignments, projects, case studies and practical activities.
An Engineering Higher National Certificate can lead to further progression in the engineering sector. It can also provide the option to top up your Higher National Certificate to a Level 5 Higher National Diploma. This requires you to study a further eight units to complete your HND.
